Alex Hansen Testimonial

4th December 2009  |  WI, Green Bay

Alex
Whether you’re playing in the pros on the high school football field, being a being a good wide receiver means being quick on your feet. Just ask Jerry Rice, Michael Irvin or Lynn Swann.
As a wide receiver for Bay Port High School, Alex takes the demands of his position just as seriously. That’s why he decided to step up his game by training at the House of Speed. After just a few months can Alex can run faster, jump higher, and catch the ball better.
Workouts are tailored to his sport-specific needs, developing agility, speed, footwork, explosiveness, hand-eye coordination and jumping ability. Sharpening his skills in these areas helps him outrun and outmaneuver the competition, make more fluid receptions, cultivate fast, powerful movements and make big leaps to snag high throws.
As Alex’s athletic skills have developed so has his work ethic. “Today, I can do more than I ever thought I could do, work harder than I ever thought I could work,” he says. “I feel driven to push further ahead.”
When sessions get tough, Alex finds draws inspiration from trainer Scotty Smith. “Scotty really gets to know people he trains, and he knows what motivates you,” says Alex.
Alex’s goal is to play college ball in a few years. For now, he’ll be satisfied to start for the Pirates and be among the fastest and most agile players in the game.
Through his House of Speed experience, Alex has learned it is only through hard work that good players can become great. “Giving 50 percent just doesn’t cut it,” he contends. “You have to go 110 percent all the time.”
“I’m very satisfied with the results,” he adds. “I would definitely recommend the House of Speed to other athletes. If you have the work ethic and you put in the time, you’ll definitely get better.”
